High Sierra Design is located in beautiful Truckee, California, 6000′ up in the Sierra Nevada mountains just north of Lake Tahoe.

High Sierra Design was formed in 2006, initially to design and produce custom scrapbooking diecuts for Truckee’s premier scrapbooking enterprise – Paper Paradise using computer graphics and a computer-driven die cut machine, but has since expanded to offer web site design, implementation, and maintenance services.

The resident wizard (of sorts) is an attempting-to-retire computer scientist named Jack Armstrong who was accidentally standing in the right place way back in the early 1960′s when some new-fangled things called computers were just starting to happen.  Read more about his ride through Silicon Valley in the History page.

Technical Support

Along the way, I’ve been asked to provide some technical assistance to scrapbooking crafts people using computers in their pursuit of the perfect scrapbook page (and cards). With over 40 years experience in the computer field, I have hopefully been of some help to members of several scrapbook and diecut machine online groups. I’ll extend that support here, with some technical advice and articles on topics that are suggested by visitors.
